HELP! Heel turn…

Ok, so I’m there, but having trouble. I’m getting confused by the directions at Section #9. I did step 1 and 2 fine, but then on 3 it says to Knit within 1 stitch of the gap—WHAT GAP!?!?!
I’m really quite annoyed, why can’t the directions just say knit xxx this many stitches…
So, for anyone that has done this pattern or that is further than me, please hold my hand and help!!

***ETA figured it out! Re-read the directions a few times and got it to work! DOH!

Oh good! I actually enjoy turning the heel so knew exactly what they were talking about, but if you’re new to socks or heel turning it can be confusing. I’m just getting ready to kitchner stitch the first sock’s toe!
