I’m a bit disappointed in that there are two people in this swap who are having issues with completing their end of an agreement with this swap and other swaps via swap-bot. My disappointment is more around the fact that each of you knew for some time that you were put on notice from swap-bot about not completing your swaps yet you didn’t notify me. I could have found sock angels who would be willing to pitch in and make socks and now I don’t know if either of you are going to come through or not. I have yarn to make socks to make it up to the other participants but this is your responsibility.
One of you said you mailed your package last Thursday, do you have proof such as a receipt you can scan and send to the saucysockswap email? Since you have so many unfinished swaps in swap-bot I have a hard time giving you the benefit of the doubt yet I want to, I really do. I responded immediately to your note asking if you had notified your pal that you were going to be late but I still haven’t heard from you.
As for the other swap-bot person who’s having issues with swaps, I sent you an email also and haven’t heard back from you. I know it was just yesterday but I’d like a reply asap.
There is one other person who hasn’t marked her package as sent but I think you notified your pal, please respond to the email I just sent and let me know if that’s the case.
I do hope that the three of you aren’t flaking out on this swap, that would be so unfair to the other people in the swap. I need assurance that you’re all following through and I need it asap.
Send an email to saucysockswapATgmailDOTcom and let me know.
Thanks,
Patty

I received my goodies last week and posted about them on my blog but neglected to do it here. Sorry about that!
A ginormous thanks goes to Ruth - my package was just heavenly!! Here’s proof for everyone on just how heavenly it was, first the socks. They’re made from blue sky alapacas Alpaca Silk and are a pearl / gray / blue color. The picture looks more gray than blue but there’s definitely a hint of blue. They’re gorgeous!

And the other goodies, note the tags on the goodies spell out the name of the swap. Totally rocks! There’s salsa and a candle and stitch markers and a wild frame and some flower shaped post-its. What a fun package to open.
Thanks again, CP - this was an awesome package.

Aren’t they cool?

Lookie what came in the mail today!!!

A lovely package from WA from Lisa! The socks are really beautiful, I love the yarn and the colors and the fit is just perfect. She also sent a cute card, a Mary Engelbreit writing pad (how’d you know I love ME?) and a cute bar of french vanilla soap. Lisa, you apologized for not sending the yarn band, but truly, I never thought of doing that, so don’t worry about that. I am thrilled. I tried to go to your blog to find out who you are and to thank you, but the link isn’t working for some reason.
I am waiting for a pair of Skechers clear bicycle shoes and I can’t wait to wear these socks with them, I really like them a lot! Thank you!

Can you believe that all this time has passed already???? Today’s the deadline for getting your socks and goodies in the mail! If you’re unable to meet the deadline today, and even though some preferred not to know the identity of their partner, please send them a message letting them know that their package will be arriving late.
NEXT STEPS: Pictures pictures pictures!!!

I’m so happy b/c I’m actually a little early in mailing my package. I’m not ever late, but I have a tendency to be dealing with a deadline.
I hope my partner likes her socks and gifties!

Hi Barb,
In case you don’t get to your email very often, I wanted to let you know I sent you an email inviting you to post on the blog, let me know if you’d like to do that or you can have me do it for you. I’m more than happy to do so and I can also pass along a message to your sock pal for you - I’m here to help.
Send an email to saucysockswapATgmailDOTcom (replace the AT with @ and DOT with .) or leave a comment on this post and let me know what you’d like to do.
Thanks so much and make it a great day!
Patty

I have been remiss in posting on here - and yet I can’t seem to keep my mouth shut as a rule. Go figure!
Anyway, we’re getting to the end and I hope everyone is having fun with this sock pattern. I’m just finishing sock number 1 so I need to get to it. Which I’m going to go do right now. In the meantime, here’s a closeup of my sock to keep ya’ll wondering who is going to get it!
The yarn is Dream In Color, Smooshy but I can’t think of the colorway right now. I absolutely love knitting with this yarn. Never splits and the colors are just - dreamy. Get it? Dream In Color, dreamy? Ok, ok, I’m done for today.

Hello all!
I hadn’t started my pair for my partner until this last Friday. I was trying to get another project done before I cast on. I worked furiously, actually knit Saturday night until 1 am! But I really enjoy this pattern and am happy with the socks and hope my partner is pleased too.
My goal is to get this pair done and in the mail early. It’d be nice to once be early on a project or swap and not dealing with a deadline.
How are all of you doing with your knitting?

Ok, so I’m there, but having trouble. I’m getting confused by the directions at Section #9. I did step 1 and 2 fine, but then on 3 it says to Knit within 1 stitch of the gap—WHAT GAP!?!?!
I’m really quite annoyed, why can’t the directions just say knit xxx this many stitches…
So, for anyone that has done this pattern or that is further than me, please hold my hand and help!! :)
Appreciate it!
***ETA figured it out! Re-read the directions a few times and got it to work! DOH!
